Guided by a local, independent Board of Directors, the Executive Director oversees a small administrative and client services staff and more than seventy volunteers who assist in multiple facets of the ministry.

Leadership Staff

Leanna Baumer
Leanna BaumerExecutive Director
Leanna Baumer has served as the Executive Director at Assist Pregnancy Center since 2015. Leanna manages the organization’s staff, operations, outreach, and development efforts. Prior to joining the Assist team, Leanna worked for two non-profit organizations and in Congress on public policy issues related to the sanctity of human life and the family. Leanna received her B.A. in History and Political Science from Cedarville University.
Dr. Beth Azer
Dr. Beth AzerMedical Director
Dr. Beth Azer serves as the Center’s Medical Director, supervising the delivery of medical services, medical policy, and the medical staff. Dr. Azer has been a Family Practitioner for sixteen years. She has a heart for ministering to women and their families. Her greatest desire is for others to know the truth of God’s word and His great love for us. She received her B.S. at the University of South Carolina, her M.D. at the Medical University of South Carolina, and completed her residency in Family Practice at the University of Virginia. She is the joyful mother of five children and has been happily married for sixteen years.
Vernicia T. Eure
Vernicia T. EureClient Services Manager
Vernicia T. Eure serves as the Client Services Manager, overseeing day-to-day operations of all client services programs and volunteers. For over nine years, Vernicia served at The Keim Centers in Virginia, leaving as the Director of Client Services. She relocated to Northern Virginia to work for Care Net and eventually directed the Pregnancy Decision Line. Vernicia earned her B.A. in Administrative Systems Management at Norfolk State University and M.A. in Human Services Counseling at Regent University. She has received additional training through the Green Cross obtaining a certification in Traumatology. Vernicia is passionate about sharing her relationship with Jesus as well as encouraging people to live their God-given purpose.
